October 9, 2011 Happy 5th Birthday Andrew!

Today, as you can see, I have decided to build a blog.  I am doing this for a couple of reasons.  First of all, the economy stinks. Quite frankly, it is very expensive for a family of five to go out for dinner. Now that the kids are older, one trip to the Cheesecake Factory can cost almost as much as a week of groceries. It is just not practical. Plus, I have found that the quality of food has gone down considerably while the menu prices have crept up. The biggest reason though, is that I take great pride in providing my family with a a nice somewhat healthy meal.  So what is there to look forward to from this blog? I hope to try and post both new and tried and true recipes along with photos for a) you to enjoy and try for yourself and b) a sort of recipe book for me to refer back to as I tend to forget very easily. Now, I am off to find my very first recipe. Happy eating!
